Situated on Lake Como, 36km from Milan, the International School of Como opened on September 9, 2002. ISC currently has children from 3 to 10 years of age, and higher grades will be added to complete the primary school over the next year. That will be followed by adding a Middle School and High School.

TeachingInternational School of Como at is based on the Primary Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate Organisation. Children learn in a warm, caring, intellectually stimulating and challenging environment, through active participation in a wide range of educational activities.

The programme at International School of Como is primarily taught in English. However there is also a strong emphasis on Italian, aiming for children to become highly proficient in both languages. Supplementary courses are offered to prepare Italian children for the 'quinta elementare' exam at the end of Grade 6.
